She worked as a registered nurse at Fairmont General Hospital for ten years, thirty-one years at West Virginia University Hospital in the emergency department and ten years for Health South. Peters High School in Fairmont and the Wheeling Hospital Nursing School. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Terri Dougal, a brother Francis Schafer and a great-granddaughter. of Fairmont, WV, one brother John “Jack” (Mary) Schafer of Birch River, WV one sister-in-law Carolean Schafer of Fairmont, WV 18 grandchildren 21 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Joseph, WV, the daughter of the late Frank Anthony and Pauline Grace (Fronaphel) Schafer.
